Saudi Airports Welcomed 12.5 Million Passengers During Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr

Saudi Arabia’s airports saw more than 12.5 million domestic and international travellers during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

This achievement was marked by a noticeable level of efficiency and operational coordination between government and private entities.

Compared to the same period in the previous year, there was an 18 percent increase in both flights and passenger numbers.

Through all airports across the Kingdom, more than 86,000 domestic and international flights, including scheduled and non-scheduled services, were conducted by 100 airlines.

King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah recorded the highest number of passengers, surpassing 5.38m travellers, followed by King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with 3.23m passengers.

Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah served around 1.04m passengers, while the remaining airports in the Kingdom collectively accommodated 2.85m passengers.
