CEO: These Are My Five Productivity Hacks I Used To Succeed

A successful CEO has revealed his five simple steps to make your ‘productivity soar’ every work day.  Ryan Serhant is a top real estate broker, entrepreneur and one of the stars of reality TV show Million Dollar Listing New York where he sells properties to some of the richest people in the world.

The 38-year-old knows hard work and shared the five strategies he uses to make the most out of his work days. To be extra efficient, Ryan uses his productivity hacks including scheduling his priorities, deleting the ‘dumb stuff’ off his phone and ‘eating the frog’.

The businessman explained ‘eating the frog’ means getting the tough stuff out of the way as soon as you start your day instead of letting it build up. ‘Tackle the hardest task first thing in the morning. If you start work at 8 am, do the most difficult part of your day at 8 am,’ he said in an online video. ‘It’ll give you the momentum to power through the rest of your day.’

Second, on Ryan’s productivity hack list is to schedule your priorities instead of prioritising your schedule. ‘Identify what’s most important to you and focus on that. Cut out the rest. Being intentional about your day will make a huge difference in your productivity,’ he explained.

The third thing he recommends is ‘buying back your time’ by delegating tasks and taking advantage of services that can do some jobs for you. ‘You have 1,440 minutes each day. How much time are your spending commuting? How much time are you spending preparing food? How much time are you spending writing emails?’ he asked. ‘Invest in services or delegate tasks to buy back your time and focus on what truly matters.’

The fourth thing Ryan said to do is to delete ‘the dumb stuff’ off your phone to minimise distractions.  ‘Remove unnecessary apps and distractions. You don’t need them. They don’t deserve your precious time,’ he said. ‘You’re already spending too much time on social media apps, aren’t you?’

Finally, the real estate agent told fans their ‘days begin the night before’ and people should check their schedule is in order before going to sleep to start the next day off organised. ‘Check your calendar for tomorrow. Are you scheduled appropriately for your priorities?’ he asked. ‘While others wake up late and feel tired, you’ve already started, energised and ready to seize the day!’
