COVID-19: Oman records 290 new cases, 7 deaths

The Ministry of Health has registered 290 new coronavirus cases in Oman on Saturday.

Among those, 59 new cases were of expats and 231 of Omanis.

The total cases in the country has now touched 81,357, including 73,481 recoveries and 509 deaths, according to MOH.

Seven new deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the Sultanate, the Ministry of Health announced. With this, the total number of fatalities due to the novel coronavirus has reached 509 in Oman.

The ministry urged everyone to adhere to social distancing instructions issued by the Supreme Committee and the MOH, as well as staying at home and not going out unless necessary.
