The Ministry of Health has registered 1889 new coronavirus cases in Oman on Friday.
Among those, 621 new cases were of expats and 1,268 of Omanis.
The total cases in the country has now touched 53,614, including 34,225 recoveries and 244 deaths with 8 new deaths, according to MOH.
The ministry urged everyone to adhere to social distancing instructions issued by the Supreme Committee and the MOH, as well as staying at home and not going out unless necessary.
