Dubai honours 638 taxi drivers by featuring their names atop cabs

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) has installed 638 taxi cabs with sign boards featuring the drivers’ names instead of the ‘TAXI’ sign.

This is the RTA’s way of recognising the drivers who worked extra hours during the pandemic and honouring them for demonstrating high levels of social responsibility during the outbreak of COVID-19.

The initiative helped establish a personal connection between drivers and their passengers.
