Dubai Safari Park reopens with new adventures after 2-year closure
The Dubai Safari Park reopened its doors to the public on Monday after a two-year expansion.
The operators said the park now offers a wide range of interactive and entertaining experiences for visitors.
The 119-hectare attraction is home to about 3,000 animals including lions, giraffes and rhinos, as well as African elephants.
A hop-on-hop-off bus service takes guests on a tour to each park area, which is divided into three zones, the Asian, African, and Arabian Villages, and along the banks of the Wadi river that runs through the entire safari park.
Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said: “The Dubai Safari Park contributes to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make the emirate the world’s most preferred lifestyle, leisure and tourist destination.
The park first opened its gates to the public in December 2017, but closed five months after a grand opening for improvements.
It is now open daily from 9am until 5pm.
