Plans Progressing for 8th Edition of Bahrain Food Festival
It seems like the year 2024 will bring a multitude of delectable opportunities for food enthusiasts in Bahrain.
While awaiting the upcoming World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism next year, Bahrainis can also mark their calendars for the 8th edition of the Bahrain Food Festival.
According to the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibition Authority, preparations are well underway for the 2024 edition of this delightful food festival, even though the exact dates are not yet announced.
The seventh edition, held in March this year, introduced a new realm of possibilities, featuring entertainment, musical performances, and more.
Notably, the sixth edition attracted over 175,000 visitors who were treated to a plethora of mouth-watering delicacies from 120 restaurants, representing a 32% increase from the previous year.
Similar to previous editions, this mega event also provides valuable opportunities for restaurants and food establishments.
The Request for Proposals released by the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibition Authority through the Tender Board invites responses from entities and institutions for the food festival.
It’s important to note that entities wishing to bid must have relevant CR (Commercial Registration) activity as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW) outlined in the RFP; otherwise, their bids will not be considered and will be suspended without evaluation.
Bids must be submitted to the board by October 25, 2023, accompanied by a BD2500 bond, which remains valid for 90 days.
The Bahrain Tourism & Exhibition Authority will award a successful bidder a six-month contract to participate in this exciting culinary venture.
