Indian Ambassador inaugurates India Pavilion at BIAS 2022
The Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Piyush Srivastava, inaugurated the India Pavilion at Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) 2022 at Sakhir Air Base yesterday.
Present in the occasion were Air Vice Marshall S Srinivasan AVSM VSM, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Transport & Helicopters), Mr Krishna Kumar Bhaskarla, Executive Director of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Embassy officials and Representatives from Bharat Dynamics Limited and Bharat Electronics Limited The India Pavilion at BIAS features exhibits from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL).
HAL is marketing the Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, Advanced Light Helicopter, Light Combat Helicopter and Light Utility Helicopter. BEL will be marketing Night Vision devices, Radars and Counter drone systems.
BDL is marketing Akash SAMs, Astra Air to Air Missiles, Counter Measure Dispensing Systems and Under Water Dispensing Systems. AVM S Srinivasan represented India at the Manama Air Power Symposium on 8 November 2022.
He had also delivered talks on the subject ‘Air Refuelling, Transporting and Bombing: The evolving role of Unmanned Systems and Integration Requirements’ during the Symposium, held under the aegis of Royal Bahraini Air Force.
