Saudi: GCC citizens cannot perform Hajj as domestic pilgrims
Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed that Hajj pilgrims of GCC countries who are residing currently in Saudi Arabia would not be able to register in the allocated seats for companies and establishments of domestic pilgrims of this year’s Hajj season.
It has stated that Gulf nationals can register for Hajj through the missions of their countries.
Registering for this year’s Hajj will only be for pilgrims who have Saudi ID, or valid residency (Iqama) during the registration period which will expire on the 17th of the month of Dhul Hijjah 1444.
Pilgrims who had performed the previous years’ Hajj can also do so on this season, provided that they register as men guardians (Mahram) of women, whether as a husband, brother, father or son.
The Ministry said that the domestic Hajj pilgrims’ establishment has the right to offer additional services on the announced Hajj packages through the e-track, with additional costs.
Pilgrims can choose these packages and pay their additional fees via the Hajj program during the registration process.
The Ministry said that Hajj pilgrims will not be able to change the Hajj facility after booking the reservation.
The Ministry has pointed out that it has removed the feature of purchasing animal sacrifice (Adahi, Hadi) from the packages until further announcement.
