India reports 131,958 new COVID-19 cases, 780 deaths
Indian health authorities said on Friday that 780 people passed away due to COVID-19 while 131,968 fresh positive cases were registered from different parts of the country in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the death toll due to COVID-19 reached 167,642 as the total positive cases surged to 13,060,542.
According to the Indian health ministry, 11,913,292 people recovered so far from the pandemic as it spread to 35 Indian states.
