Kuwait: 231 test positive; 524 recovered

Kuwait reported  231 new coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours, raising the total to 142,426.

Health Ministry Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that three infected patients had passed away, bringing the death toll from the outbreak to 878.

“The number of people hospitalised with the virus currently stands at 5,135, with 75 of them in intensive care units”, he said, adding that  4,827 swab tests were conducted over the last day, taking the tally to  1,091,469 so far.

The ministry had earlier reported that some 524 more people had recovered from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 136,413.
