Kuwait has announced dates for the Eid Al Fitr holiday this year.
The holiday for Eid Al Fitr will be from Tuesday, April 9 to Saturday, April 13 the Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced on Tuesday.
In a statement on social media, the CSC said that work at government institutions would be suspended during the period, except for entities of a specialised nature, which would continue to operate according to their own capacities.
Meanwhile, Kuwait has also announced a public holiday this week on the day of elections in the country.
Thursday will be a public holiday in the country due to the holding of the National Assembly elections, said state-run news agency KUNA.
The cabinet, during its weekly session held at Bayan Palace under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah, decided to shut down all ministries, government and public authorities and institutions on Thursday, April 4.
