Kuwait approves Sotrovimab for COVID-19 treatment
Kuwait has approved GSK and Vir Biotechnology’s Sotrovimab as a treatment for COVID-19, state news KUNA reported on Wednesday.
Kuwait is the second country in the Middle East to approve the use of the antibody treatment for mild to moderate COVID-19 cases, after UAE.
Sotrovimab-VIR-7831 develops monoclonal antibodies and will be used to treat infected adults and adolescents with mild to moderate COVID-19 symptoms who are at risk of their condition deteriorating and resulting in hospitalisation.
