The Ministry of Health and Municipality on Tuesday announced that fish auctions will be halted after evidence of overcrowding in markets.
The Kuwait Fisherman Union revealed that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) informed the union regarding the cancelation of auctions, and that the ministry will dictate the price for vendors and supermarkets.
The decision to stop auctions will mean that a quota will be set for vendors and supermarkets regarding the price of fish.
