Kuwait registers 435 cases and 349 recoveries

Kuwait has today confirmed 435 new COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours, raising the total to 157,399 cases.

The Ministry of Health said that no infected patient had passed away, keeping the death toll since the outbreak of the pandemic at 947.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 5,774 with 48 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, who revealed that some 8,651 swab tests were conducted over the 24 hours out of a total of 1,389,294. 

The ministry had earlier reported that some 349 more people recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total of recoveries to 150,678.
