Kuwait registers 686 coronavirus cases; Tally at 116,832

Kuwait today reported 686 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 116,832, the Ministry of Health said.

In its latest update, the ministry also announced nine more deaths from complications caused by COVID-19, bringing the total number of fatalities to 710. Currently, there are 7,516 active cases, out of which 133 are still receiving treatment in intensive care units.

A total of 6,002 PCR tests were conducted over the past 24 hours, pushing total people tested across the country so far to 834,164.

Meanwhile, 746 more patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 108,606.
