Kuwait reports 385 new coronavirus cases

Kuwait confirmed 385 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall tally to 99,434.

In a statement carried by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Ministry of Health said that three infected patients had passed away due to health complications, raising the death toll to 584.

The ministry reported 105 cases in Hawalli, 95 in in Al-Ahmadi, 70 in Jahra, 64 in the Capital and 51 in Farwaniyah. There are 98 people currently receiving intensive care for the virus out of a total 8,682 patients being hospitalised.

Some 2,263 swab tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, out of a total of 707,292. Earlier, the ministry said 670 people have recovered from the virus, raising the recoveries to 90,168.
