Etihad Airways has announced it will start flying its A380 double-decker plane to New York JFK on April 22.
The plane features the famous Residence three-bedroom suite, featuring a private mid-air living room, bedroom, and en-suite shower room.
For a limited time, only the airline is offering discounted upgrade prices.
The introduction of the A380 marks a significant enhancement to Etihad’s capacity in the crucial US market, connecting to the broader GCC and Indian subcontinent.
It will further attract an increased number of visitors to Abu Dhabi.
The A380 will operate on one of the two daily Etihad flights to New York.
The other daily flight will be operated by a 787-9 featuring First, Business, and Economy cabins.
The US route becomes the second destination after London to enjoy the A380 experience since Etihad returned its superjumbo to the skies.

For a limited period, Etihad is offering first-class ticket holders the opportunity to upgrade to The Residence for AED10,999 ($2,990). The offer is available to buy until December 12. Standard The Residence upgrade fare between Abu Dhabi and New York is AED16,600 ($4,520) per person.
