A number of unlicensed fishing boats were seized and several expats have been arrested in South Al Sharqiyah.
Fishing without a license is against the law in Oman. The fish were confiscated and the boats and fishing equipment were seized. Legal procedures are being completed against the violators, the Directorate General of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate said.
