Oman: Hospitals witness surge in COVID-19 cases

A number of hospitals in the Sultanate have exceeded the capacity allocated to COVID-19 patients in intensive care rooms, reaching 157 per cent in Sohar and Nizwa hospitals.

According to the Ministry of Health data, the number of inpatients in intensive care reached an occupancy rate of 99 per cent.
