Oman Issues 2 New Taxi Licences

Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has announced it issued two licences for firms to manage taxi services at airports in the country.

The ministry said the two licensed firms were authorised to manage the services after meeting all requirements and provisions of Land Transport Law and showing commitment to accommodate, in the apps, all current taxi owners operating at Omani airports.

The parties granted the licences pledged to train the taxi owners/drivers of this segment, develop their skills and fulfil all technical requirements specified by the Ministry in the licence, with the prime aim of improving the public transportation system in Oman.
