Oman Friday confirmed 1,132 new cases of the novel coronavirus, the latest in an upward trend, raising to 36,034 the country’s overall infections.
The newly diagnosed cases include 639 Omanis and 493 foreign residents, the Health Ministry said without providing a breakdown of foreign nationalities.
Oman’s total fatalities from COVID-19 have risen to 153 as the ministry reported nine more deaths.
The country’s overall recoveries from the disease have reached 19,482, the ministry said.
