Kuwait Launches New Online System to Track Violations

Kuwait Municipality has introduced a new mobile application called e-Baladia, to simplify the process of reporting violations. Through the app, users can easily document and report violations with just a few taps on their phones.

To begin, individuals need to register on the app using Kuwait Mobile ID app authentication. Once registered, they can take pictures of the violations they come across and send them through the app, along with specifying the nature of the complaint.

Kuwait Municipality has assured that once a complaint is filed, its workers will promptly investigate the matter and take the necessary steps to rectify the violation. Users can expect to receive a response within 72 hours of filing their complaint.

The e-Baladia app offers several useful features. It enables field teams to pinpoint the exact location of reported violations through GPS integration. Additionally, the app provides a feature that uses Google Maps, helping Municipality workers identify the source of each complaint. These features ensure a streamlined and efficient process for dealing with reported violations.

Tariq Al-Mudaini, the Director of the Information Systems Department at Kuwait Municipality, said that the primary objective behind launching this app is to promote active social participation by encouraging individuals to report violations and file complaints to the authorities.

He emphasised that the Municipality takes all complaints seriously and takes efforts to address the reported violations quickly. Moreover, Mudaini revealed that in the near future, the e-Baladia app will be integrated with the Sahel app, further simplifying the process of reporting violations.
