Saudi: Health inspection tours stepped up
Saudi municipalities have ramped up health and safety inspections to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the Kingdom.
Eastern Province Municipality carried out 8,525 inspections of commercial centers and facilities in one week, identifying 453 violations. As a result, field teams closed 10 commercial outlets for breaching protocols.
Violations included noncompliance with mask-wearing, overcrowding issues and a failure to use the Tawakkalna app effectively.
Baha Municipality also carried out 3,072 inspections of commercial centers and facilities, closing 20 outlets for breaching protocols.
