Saudi: Jeddah to witness moderate rains

The crisis and disaster management center at Makkah emirate called on Jeddah residents to take precautions and caution as the city will witness moderate rains.

The center warned everyone to adhere to the instructions of the competent authorities, and to stay away and not to approach the sites where rainwater accumulates, the lighting poles, and the electrical boxes in the streets.

Jeddah weather is expected to witness moderate rain starting from Monday at 1 a.m. until 2 p.m., the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said.

NCM noted that the rain condition will be accompanied by low visibility and activity in surface wind and torrents.

A number of education departments announced the school suspension on Monday, such as Jeddah, Makkah, Rabigh, Bahrah, Allaith, and Taif, Northern border, Hafr Al-Batin, Hail.

Online classes will be conducted through the “Madrasati platform” for all students, and for school employees, due to the current weather, and in order to preserve their safety.
