Sheikh Mohamed Directs Medical Care For 1,000 Palestinian Cancer Patients in UAE Hospitals

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the provision of medical treatment for 1,000 Palestinian cancer patients from the Gaza Strip, state news agency WAM reported on Saturday, November 18.

The patients will receive medical care in hospitals in the UAE.

The initiative is part of the country’s continuing efforts to alleviate the rising humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Recently, the UAE President issued a directive to treat 1,000 Palestinian children requiring medical care in the UAE. The children and their families are being hosted in the UAE until they fully recover, WAM reported.

Sheikh Mohamed also issued a directive to set up a fully equipped field hospital in the Gaza Strip under the Gallant Knight 3 operation.

In October, the UAE launched a campaign to provide relief aid to Palestinians impacted by the war in the Gaza Strip, under the theme ‘Tarahum – for Gaza’, the state news agency.

The campaign enables centres across the UAE to collect and mobilise humanitarian relief packages in partnership with humanitarian and charitable institutions, volunteer centers, the private sector, media, and all segments of society.
