Saudi to launch first news radio station

Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) will launch the “Al-Ekhbariya Radio” station Sunday, coinciding with World Radio Day, which falls on Feb. 13.

This will be the first radio station of its kind in Saudi Arabia. The new radio station will be a radio branch of the Al-Ekhbariya TV channel, a step aimed at focusing on local specialized content.
