Dead Whale Found Washed Ashore in Oman

The Sultanate of Oman’s Environment Authority (EA), represented by the Environment Department in Al Wusta Governorate said that it has dealt with the death of an Arabian Sea Bryde’s whale.

The Environment Authority said: “A dead Bryde’s whale was washed up on Kanasa beach in the Wilayat of Mahout in Al Wusta Governorate. The cause of death is attributed to fishing nets.” 

The specialists confirmed that work has been in place to take the procedures followed in cooperation with the relevant authorities, in addition to taking samples and testing.
