Qatar Airways Announces 2024 Network Expansion

Qatar Airways unveiled its summer schedule and continues expanding its catalogue of destinations in 2024. The award-winning airline is adding two new European destinations this summer. It will resume its flights to Venice, Italy, in June and fly to Hamburg, Germany, for the first time in July.

The Doha-based airline’s new routes will allow increased tourism activity and economic growth in the two destinations. In the summer of 2024, Qatar will fly to more than 170 destinations, with more on the way.

Speaking about the expansion, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group, had this to say:

“As this year comes to an end, we are delighted to present our passengers with new and exciting travel opportunities for the year 2024. Starting with our resumption to Venice and an inaugural flight to Hamburg, Qatar Airways and its hub, Hamad International Airport, continues to position itself on the global map as a leading gateway for international travel and connectivity. We look forward to seeing our passengers uncover new experiences and resume flying to their favourite destinations.”

Qatar Airways expects Venice to see an influx of passengers from the Asia-Pacific region, mainly from Australia, China, and Japan. Hamburg will be a gateway for travellers from South Africa, the Philippines, and Thailand.

The first flights to Venice and Hamburg will take off June 12th and July 1st, respectively. The details of the routes are as follows:
