Saudi Plans 290 Flights a Week to India, Eyes 12 Million Indian Tourists by 2030

Saudi Arabia is targeting India as it looks to massively increase tourism in the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia is aiming to attract 12m visits a year from India by 2030, a sharp increase on the 1m attracted in 2022.

The Kingdom will also increase the number of weekly flights as it looks to India as a prime source for tourists and business visitors.

Identifying India as an important strategic market, Alhasan Al Dabbagh, president of Asia-Pacific Markets for the Saudi Tourism Authority, said the Kingdom was targeting “Tier 1 cities”, including:

  • Delhi
  • Mumbai
  • Bangalore
  • Ahmedabad
  • Hyderabad
  • Lucknow
  • Kochi
  • Calicut
