Bahrain Traffic: Violating Vehicles Could Be Seized for 60 Days

Director-General of Traffic Brigadier Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa hailed the instructions of Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, to develop the traffic system and raise the traffic safety rates for road users through implementing rules and regulations to address violations and wrong behaviours that could endanger the lives of road users and affect properties.

The Director-General clarified that edict (165) of 2023 amending some provisions of edict (68) of 2016 regarding cases and conditions of vehicles’ seizure, could allow the seizure of the violated vehicles for a minimum of 60 days instead of 30 days.

The amendment also added two new violations, which prohibit any addition to the vehicle that would make annoying noise, and prevent stunt driving and endangering the lives of road users.
