UAE: Driverless taxis start trials
The start of trials and preparations of digital maps needed for deploying the driverless vehicles by the end of this year has been announced.
Dubai will be the first city outside the USA to operate such vehicles.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in UAE and Cruise Company have signed a partnership agreement to operate Cruise autonomous vehicles to offer taxi and e-Hail services in Dubai.
