UAE to Launch Bonus Scheme for COVID-19 Frontliners
UAE will form a bonus scheme for vital sector workers during emergencies such as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the country’s state-run WAM news agency, the system includes means of distribution and a specific set of criteria for essential staff to be compensated for their work in times of crisis.
The compensation will be available for workers employed by the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention, which has been on the frontline of the country’s battle against the coronavirus.
“It is our duty to appreciate everyone who contributed and participated in bearing the burdens with us during the crisis,” Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said.
