WhatsApp to stop working on earlier Android, iOS phones

WhatsApp has announced that it will no longer run on several Android and Apple phones.

According to reports, the Facebook-owned platform updated its FAQ section on their website to announce that the app would only be compatible with phones running on Android 4.0.3 operating system or newer and iPhones running on iOS 9 or newer.

To find out your phone’s operating system, iPhone users can go to Settings > General > Information. Android users can go to Settings > About Phone.
