Saudi: New COVID-19 cases remain below 50-mark

New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia stayed below the 50-mark for the fifth straight day on Wednesday, with 49 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours.

1 person died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 548,760 and the virus-related fatalities to 8,799.

According to the health ministry, a total of 37 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 537,690. Among the active cases 54 of them were in critical condition.
