Bahrain enforces 6-month ban on shrimping

Bahrain today announced the start of the ban on catching, trading or selling shrimp, which starts from February 1 to July 31.

The decision states that it is forbidden to catch shrimp in the territorial waters of the Kingdom from February 1 to July 31 of each year.

It is also prohibited to display fresh, chilled, frozen or unprocessed shrimp in markets and public places for the purpose of marketing or selling, during the period of the ban.

Anyone who violates the provisions of this resolution will be punished with the penalties.
