What Comes Next After The Jaffar Express Terrorist Attack In Pakistan?

Pakistan is reeling after this week’s hijacking of the Jaffar Express by the terrorist-designated “Balochistan Liberation Army” (BLA). It’s impossible to independently confirm the details given strict state censorship, but around 400 people were taken hostage, including servicemen traveling home on leave. The BLA demanded the release of what they described as political prisoners, but the military staged a daring operation to end the day-long ordeal instead. At least two dozen people were killed. The Baloch Conflict owes its origins to Balochistan’s contentious incorporation into Pakistan but has evolved in recent years to take on shades of “resource nationalism”. What’s meant by this is that some locals believe that their resource-rich region, the largest in Pakistan at nearly half the country’s size, isn’t receiving its fair share of wealth. The BLA and its supporters also accuse Pakistan of selling the region out to China. Pakistan denies these claims and has always blamed Afghanistan and India for the conflict. It therefore wasn’t surprising when the Foreign Office’s spokesman said on Thursday that “India has been involved in terrorism in Pakistan. In the particular attack on Jaffar express, the terrorists had been in contact with their handlers and ring leaders in Afghanistan.” While the Afghan dimension is likely true owing to the Taliban sheltering the BLA […]

Pakistani Separatists Attack Train With Over 400 People On Board, Conduct Mass Killings

One of the most brazen terror attacks and hostage standoffs the world has ever seen played out on Tuesday into Wednesday. The shocking incident in Pakistan’s restive southwestern region involved a separatist Islamist group attacking and taking control of a large passenger train. Some 450 passengers were travelling on the train from Quetta to Peshawar when it was attacked Tuesday by militants of the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The group took a number of hostages after halting the train. Many bystanders are still missing. Soon after the train had entered a tunnel, “intense gunfire” was unleashed by the militants. There had actually ben over 100 passengers on the train who were members of Pakistani security forces, but it’s unclear whether many of these personnel were armed at the time. One eyewitness who was able to escape the mayhem, Muhammad Ashraf, described to BBC: “There was a lot of fear among the passengers. It was a scene of doomsday.” Pakistani special forces were among the first to respond to the scene, also amid helicopter cover overhead, and a shootout ensued. But it ended in tragedy. While at least 35 militants were killed, some 100 civilians were reportedly executed by the terrorists. The hunt for the remaining […]

Russia’s Top UN Representative Exposed The West’s Role In The Global Growth Of Terrorism

Russian Permanent UN Representative Vasily Nebenzia pulled no punches at the UNSC last month when responding to the Secretary General’s latest report on terrorism.  He called the West out for using such groups “to achieve their geopolitical goals, including the overthrow of inconvenient Governments and the creation and maintenance of hotbeds of regional instability.”  He also claimed that they’re “cultivating a terrorist hydra” to justify aggression against the afflicted countries and their occupation. This led to Nebenzia discussing the growth of terrorism in West Africa, which he said isn’t due to Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger fighting more robustly against this scourge like the Secretary General’s report claimed, but NATO’s war on Libya as well as recent Western and Ukrainian support for such groups.  On the topic of Ukraine, he mentioned how it “had previously been used as a staging ground for foreign terrorist fighters, and now it has morphed into a logistical hub”.  Nebenzia also tied this to USAID. Afghanistan was the next place that he talked about in this context, reminding everyone of how “NATO troops abandoned vast quantities of weapons and equipment there, which then fell into the hands of ISIL inter alia.”  This explains the explosion of terrorism there over the past few years. Ukraine Faces Population-Replacement With Third-World Migrants After the War

Millions of Ukrainians have left their country and hundreds of thousands of men are dead and wounded at the front. Now, employers and big capital are already suggesting that the “only solution” is for mass immigration of Third-World migrants. This means that after the war is over, many of the soldiers will come home to a Ukraine that will be rapidly transformed under their feet. Currently, every 10 Ukrainian women give birth to only 7 children on average, while to maintain the population this number should be at least 22. Without this, Ukraine’s population will continue to decline, and the previously mentioned population level of 40-50 million will become unattainable.  Vasyl Voskobojnik, president of the Ukrainian Association of Foreign Employment Agencies, says the population decline can no longer be offset by simply increasing the birth rate, and immigration from Third-World countries is the only solution, reports Magyar Nemzet.  Workforce gaps are a serious issue. There are currently about 29 million people living in Ukraine, give or take 1 million. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, another 200,000 people left the country in 2024, further worsening the labor shortage. At least 8.2 million workers would be needed for the future recovery of the Ukrainian […]

Houthis Vow to Unleash Hell on Red Sea Shipping Again as Gaza Truce Teeters

Yemen’s Houthis have declared “our hands are on the trigger” ready to resume attacks on Israel and especially Red Sea shipping of the Gaza ceasefire falters. “Our hands are on the trigger, and we are ready to immediately escalate against the Israeli enemy if it returns to escalation in the Gaza Strip,” said leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi on Tuesday. The ceasefire is indeed teetering, given Netanyahu’s security cabinet has backed Trump’s ultimatum demanding the return of all remaining Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity or else “let hell break out” and the Israeli military onslaught on Gaza would continue. He gave a noon Saturday deadline. The ceasefire agreement is still within the first of three phases, and Hamas and Israel have been trading accusations of the other having broken the deal. The Houthis have since November of 2023 launched over 100 attacks on commercial and military vessels in the Red Sea, some of which may have struck American warships, though the Pentagon has kept mum on the extent of any potential damage. Several MQ-9 Reaper drones have also been shot down in that time period. PM Netanyahu following a four-hour security cabinet meeting said he’s ordered troop reinforcements in and around Gaza, and that the country is […]

Saudi Arabia: Man Executed After Convicted On Terror Charges

Saudi Arabia said Tuesday it had executed a citizen convicted on terror charges including attacking security forces. The kingdom’s Interior Ministry said the convict, identified as Ali bin Abdul Jalil bin Mansour, had perpetrated several terrorist crimes. He had attacked security men, shot at them several times with the intention of killing them, financed terrorist operations through money laundry and sold arms.  He was arrested, interrogated and charged with perpetrating the crimes, the ministry added. He was referred to a specialised court that sentenced him to death. The ruling was later upheld and approved by a royal decree. The execution was carried out Tuesday in the Eastern Province, the ministry said. Saudi Arabia applies the death penalty against convicts in cases of murder, involvement in terrorism as well as drug smuggling and trafficking. Last week, another Saudi man was executed for involvement in several terror acts. The Interior Ministry said the convict, identified as Abdullah bin Ahmad, committed terrorist crimes, including joining a terrorist entity, travelling abroad to join a terrorist camp to train in manufacturing and using explosives. After returning to the kingdom, he began explosive making targeting security personnel, and financing terrorist acts. Similarly, two Saudi men were […]

“Remigration Now” – AfD’s Weidel Calls For Mass Deportations After Afghan Migrant Stabs 2-Year-Old To Death

Following the brutal attack that cost two people their lives yesterday, including a 2-year-old child, in the Bavarian city of Aschaffenburg, Alternative for Germany (AfD) co-leader Alice Weidel is calling for mass deportations. “In Bavaria, which is governed by the CSU, an Afghan in Aschaffenburg kills a toddler (2) and a good Samaritan (41) who rushed to help the child. The Afghan had previously followed the child’s daycare group. My thoughts are with the relatives and the injured. Remigration now!” wrote Weidel on X. Yesterday, as Remix News reported, a 28-year-old Afghan man killed two people in a knife attack on a kindergarten group in a park in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. The victims were a two-year-old boy and a 41-year-old passerby, said Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) in Aschaffenburg. Three people were injured, including a two-year-old girl. According to Herrmann’s statements, as cited by Die Welt, initial findings indicate that the Afghan suspect stabbed a child from the kindergarten group “suddenly and deliberately” with a kitchen knife. The 41-year-old man was allegedly trying to prevent further attacks on the children and was killed in the process. Police say other passers-by pursued the perpetrator fled on foot. A few minutes after the attack, the man […]

Houthis Halt Attacks On Red Sea Vessels As Gaza Truce Holds

The Gaza ceasefire which went into effect Sunday morning, ending a 470-day conflict which has reportedly killed over 47,000 – has continued to hold. Palestinians are returning to northern Gaza in droves, picking through the rubble and seeking to identify their homes and belongings. Yemen’s Houthis starting last week signaled they would stop their missile and drone attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea. As of Monday, the Houthis have announced a halt to these attacks, but with an important exception. International ships will no longer come under attack, the Houthis said, but attacks on Israeli-linked commercial and military vessels will continue. “We affirm that, in the event of any aggression against the Republic of Yemen by the United States of America, the United Kingdom, or the usurping Israeli entity, the sanctions will be reinstated against the aggressor,” the Houthis said in a written statement reported by Reuters. “You will be promptly informed of such measures should they be implemented,” it continued. The Houthis further said that even Israeli-linked ships will stop being targeted “upon the full implementation of all phases of the agreement.” Click here to read more

Former UK Ambassador: How The West Destroyed Syria

Peter Ford served in the UK Foreign Ministry for many years including being UK Ambassador to Bahrain (1999-2003) and  then Syria (2003-2006). Following that, he was representative to the Arab world for the Commissioner General of United Nations Relief and Works Agency. He was interviewed by Rick Stering on Jan 6, 2025. RS: Why do you think the Syrian military and government collapsed so rapidly? Peter Ford: Everybody was surprised but with hindsight, we shouldn’t have been. Over more than a decade, the Syrian army had been hollowed out by the extremely dire economic situation in Syria, mainly caused by western sanctions. Syria only had a few hours of electricity a day, no money to buy weapons and no ability to use the international banking system to buy anything whatsoever. It’s no surprise that the Army was run down. With hindsight, you might say the surprise is that the Syrian government and Army were successful in driving back the Islamists. The Syrian Army forced them into the redoubt of Idlib four or five years ago. But after that point, the Syrian army deteriorated, became less battle ready on the technical level and also morale. Syrian soldiers are mainly conscripts and they […]
