Dubai Issues Travel Advisory Against Carrying Prohibited Items

Dubai Police has issued a notice against carrying prohibited items during travel to avoid safety risks.

The advisory was issued on Monday via Twitter, “For safer travels, avoid carrying prohibited items, as they pose risks to your safety and those around you,” the post read.

Prohibited items

  • Weapons, sharp tools
  • Liquids exceeding 100ML
  • Lighters
  • Lithium batteries
  • Alcoholic substances
  • Flammable materials
  • Compressed gases

Last month, Emirates revealed that the airline is set to operate 24,000 flights during the summer period. Gearing up for a busy travel period, the airline is coordinating with ground handling partners at 129 airports around the world, “ensuring they are up-to-date with operational requirements and are prepared to support smooth passenger movement.”

“Emirates has also worked closely with other stakeholders at Dubai Airport to support its flight schedule and services, provisioning additional resources to ensure efficient operations at the hub, including for transiting passengers,” the report said.
