A Bahrain-based health food restaurant has been accused of failing to deliver promised meals after promoting a monthly subscription worth BD100. The restaurant lacks a cook and delivery person, leading to staff abandoning the business due to unpaid salaries.

Despite having its commercial registration closed, the restaurant continues to operate its Instagram account, attracting new subscribers, but refuses to refund payments and deletes comments criticizing its fraudulent practices, reports our sister paper Al Ayam.

Customers accuse the restaurant of scamming and deceiving them, with the owner’s response being, “If you want to complain, go ahead; it won’t make a difference.”

Complaints

Several subscribers have filed complaints, urging the relevant authorities to take action against anyone who dares to deceive customers and wrongfully take their money through “fraud and theft.”

They also stressed that if a project fails and officially closes down, it must be announced to prevent other projects from illegally collecting funds from customers under the guise of compensating for losses using deceptive methods.

The complainants mention that the restaurant has branches in the Riffa and Qalali areas and is known for its exceptional service in providing healthy meals.

Downfall

It had collaborations with a large group of artists, social media influencers, and specialists for promotional purposes.

This contributed to an increase in the number of subscribers who were taken aback by the sudden downfall of the restaurant and its refusal to engage with customers.
