Global coronavirus recoveries surpass 15 million

More than 15 million patients suffering from the Covid-19 coronavirus have now recovered.

As of late on Wednesday night, the total number of cases crossed 22,458,000, while fatalities rose to 787,7495, the global tracker revealed in its latest update.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The US accounted for the world’s highest number of infections and fatalities at 5,673,662 and 175,686, respectively, according to worldometer.

Brazil came in second place with 3,418,306 infections.

In terms of cases, US ranks first among the top five countries (5,673,662), followed by Brazil (3,418,306), India (2,835,822), Russia (937,321) and South Africa (592,144.

Countries with over 10,000 deaths include UK (41,397), Mexico (57,774), Italy (35,412), India (53,994), France (30,451), Spain (28,797), Peru (26,658), Iran (20,125) and Russia (15,989).
