Saudi: Total Number of Hajj Pilgrims This Year Reaches 1.85 Million

The total number of pilgrims who arrived in Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj reached 1. 85 million till date, authorities said on Wednesday.

Of this, as many as 1.66 million came from outside the Kingdom, according to data released by the Saudi General Authority for Statistics.

The Authority said the number of male pilgrims this year amounted to 969,694 pilgrims, while the number of female pilgrims amounted to 875,351.

The statistics also showed that the number of pilgrims coming from Arab countries reached 346,214 or 21 percent of the total arrivals.
