Oman aims to vaccinate upto 40% of population

Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al Saeedi has said Oman has ensured a vaccine supply with the goal being to vaccinate up to 40 per cent of the country’s population.

Dr. Saeedi also welcomed health sector retirees who wish to come back to work in different areas of their choice.

On October 28th, it was said that Oman has reserved 1.18 million COVID-19 vaccines to be used, Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a press briefing on the spread of the novel coronavirus, Dr. Al Saidi said, “For the first stage, we have reserved 1.18 million doses of the vaccine.” He added that currently, it was not known when the vaccines would arrive. “That depends on approvals and the start of manufacturing.”
