Oman: Muscat Enters Complete Lockdown

Oman’s capital city Muscat will go on complete lockdown, from 10 a.m. on April 10, to help curb the coronavirus outbreak, Omani News Agency reports citing the Royal Oman Police.

It was decided to lock down the Governorate of Muscat through the activation of Control Checkpoints with effect from 10 am on Friday, April 10 to 10 am on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, along with the continued operation of Control Checkpoints.

Due to the increase of infection in different places in the Sultanate, the Wilayat of Muttrah has been totally locked down since April 1, 2020.
