Saudi Arabia: 9 fined for violating Hajj COVID-19 protocols

Nine people were fined SR10,000 each for violating the Hajj COVID-19 protocols which stipulate that it is mandatory to obtain a permit perform the holy pilgrimage.

Official Spokesperson of Hajj Security Forces Command ‏Brigadier Sami Al-Shuwairekh called on all citizens and residents to abide by the instructions for this year’s Hajj season.

He stressed that security will implement the regulations against persons who try to enter the Holy Mosque, its surrounding central area, and the holy sites (Mina, Muzdalifah, Arafat) without a permit, until the end of 13 Dhul-Hijjah 1442H.
