Saudi Arabia Launches Hot Air Balloon Flights in AlUla
Saudi Arabia has announced the launch of a new, year-round hot air balloon flight service in AlUla.
The stunning AlUla region, a boutique heritage destination in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, has introduced the new, year-round, aerial attraction by Hero Balloon Flights, Saudi Arabia’s first commercial hot air balloon operator.
On October 1, the inaugural balloon flight took off as the sun rose over AlUla, giving a new way to see Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hegra, alongside views of canyons, rock formations, and oases from 4,000 ft above.
Hero Balloon Flights is the latest addition to the destination’s exceptional line-up of experiences that span adventure, culture, arts, heritage, sports, and more.
The price of a shared hot air balloon experience is SR995 ($265) per adult and SR795 ($212) per child.
Hero Balloon Flights also offers a private hot air balloon flight for up to eight guests for SR9,995 ($2,665).
Each booking includes free transport to and from the guests’ hotels.
