Saudi Arabia: Prophet’s Mosque to host Taraweeh prayers

Saudi authorities have confirmed that the Prophet’s (PBUH) Mosque in Madinah will host Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan.

The General President for Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque, Abd al-Rahman Al-Sudais, said on Saturday that the mosque would open its doors to worshippers while adhering to Covid-19 precautions, according to SPA.

The mosque will hold a maximum of 60,000 worshippers at once, Al Sudais added.

As per Saudi authorities, the mosque will be closed half an hour after the Taraweeh prayer and will be opened two hours before the dawn prayer.

The mosque will be open for 24 hours during the last ten days of Ramadan.
