World Defence Show in Saudi Arabia Ends With $6.9bn in Deals

Saudi Arabia’s World Defence Show (WDS) concluded with the signing of 61 purchase contracts worth SR26bn ($6.9bn).

WDS 2024 had 773 exhibitors and 441 official delegations from 116 countries and 106,000 visitors.

A total of 73 agreements were signed during WDS, encompassing 17 industrial partnership agreements.

General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) Governor Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Ohali expressed sincere thanks to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, for his gracious patronage of this global event.

Saudi Arabia aims to localise 50 per cent of military services and equipment expenditures in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Al Ohali extended his heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all the government entities, as well as the local and international companies, that participated in the second annual WDS.

He extended a warm welcome to all participants who will return to Riyadh in 2026 for the next WDS.

The show will persist in its mission to foster cooperation, encourage innovation, and delve into potential business prospects within the defence and security sectors.
