Saudi Arabia announces 390 new cases, 5 deaths

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded on Tuesday 390 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, marking a slight increase in the number of single-day infections.

The ministry announced five more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19.

This brings the total number of coronavirus infections in the Kingdom to 380,572 and virus-related fatalities to 6,539.

The ministry also reported 306 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 371,338.

The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 192 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 61 and the Makkah region with 58 new infections.

The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with just six of them reporting less than 10 infections.

According to the ministry, there were 2,695 active cases and 515 of them were in critical condition.
