UAE: Police warn of fake restaurant websites

The Ajman Police warned residents about the new fraud that sees bogus websites offering ‘food’ and a payment getaway. Scammers use card details entered by residents to withdraw their cash, said the police.

Often, residents are directed to these fake websites via social media.

The police urged residents to make sure they are on legitimate websites of restaurants before placing orders and entering their card details.
