Saudi: All Educational Institutions Closed Till Further Notice

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the closure of public and private schools and universities, as well as technical and vocational training institutions. The Ministry of Education announced the closure which takes effect countrywide from tomorrow (March 9) until further notice.

The precautionary measure is part of efforts to contain the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and avert its outbreak, in line with the preventive measures recommended by Saudi official authorities.

The ministry issued directives to schools to activate online learning platforms during the suspension period.
